ContractorLink provides a platform to connect homeowners with contractors. We do not guarantee the quality, reliability, or professionalism of any contractor listed on our platform. All contractors are independent third parties, not employees or agents of ContractorLink.

We strongly recommend that you independently verify contractor credentials, check references, confirm licensing and insurance, and obtain multiple bids before hiring any contractor.

Contractor Verification Limits

ContractorLink verifies contractor licenses against the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) database. However:

• License verification does not guarantee contractor competency or ethical conduct
• A verified license means the contractor holds a valid Utah license at the time of verification
• License status can change—always independently confirm current status
• We do not verify insurance, bonding, or criminal history
• Verification may be incomplete for contractors operating in multiple states

You are solely responsible for verifying all contractor credentials before hiring.

Inclusion on ContractorLink does not constitute an endorsement of any contractor. We do not recommend, guarantee, or vouch for any contractor's work quality, pricing, professionalism, or adherence to building codes.

Limitation of Liability

ContractorLink is provided on an "as-is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vega Apps, LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including fitness for a particular purpose.

In no event shall Vega Apps, LLC be liable for damages arising from contractor negligence, project disputes, incomplete work, property damage, injury, or any other claims related to contractor performance.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes between homeowners and contractors are solely between the parties involved. ContractorLink does not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve contractor disputes. For unresolved issues, you may pursue legal remedies through appropriate channels.

Your Responsibilities

• Verify contractor licensing with DOPL: dopl.utah.gov
• Request and verify proof of insurance (liability and workers' compensation)
• Obtain written contracts specifying scope, timeline, and payment terms
• Check references and past project examples
• Verify no liens or complaints against the contractor
• Understand local permit requirements before hiring
